IFLA Europe General Assembly & Regional Conference 2026 – Riga, Latvia

We are pleased to announce that the IFLA Europe Regional Conference and General Assembly 2026 will take place from 2 – 6 September 2026 in Riga, Latvia.

•          2 – 4 September – IFLA Europe Regional Conference

•          5 – 6 September – IFLA Europe General Assembly

The conference will explore the theme “Landscape in Transition – Reimagining Resilient Futures”, addressing the profound changes shaping European landscapes today — from climate pressures and biodiversity loss to social, economic, and cultural transformations.

Bringing together professionals, researchers, and policymakers, the event will focus on how landscape architecture can actively guide transitions towards more resilient, inclusive, and regenerative environments. Through its sub-themes — Shifting Grounds, Shared Places, Patterns of Change, and Memory of Places — the conference will foster dialogue on innovative and practical approaches to shaping future landscapes.
